Introduction to 4 Wheeling for Newcomers

Classes meet in Big Bear Lake. After a short drive to the trail head, tires are aired down and several exercises are explained for the drive to our training area. At the training area, an instructor will drive you around the course explaining driving skills on a variety of obstacles. The Instructor will then ride with you to coach you over the varied terrain. The training course consists of hill climbs, descents, ruts, bumps, rock crawling and side slopes

Newcomer Off Road Driving Experience

1-on-1 training  - maximum 3 vehicles with one MASTER TRAINER per vehicle

Introduction to Overlanding

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE

  • Everything in the Newcomer Group Class

PLUS

  • Compensating for heavier loads

  • Driving in uneven terrain with a roof rack and/or roof top tent

  • Minimum gear requirements for a 1-2 day overland experience

  • Trailer towing

Introduction to Overlanding

1-on-1 training  - maximum 3 vehicles with one MASTER TRAINER per vehicle

4.5 to 6 hours  $449 per vehicle

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE

  • Situation Assessment

  • Recovery Gear Inventory

  • Creating a Recovery Plan

  • Designating the person in charge

  • Towing a disabled vehicle

  • Using a kinetic "Yanker" strap

  • Using a Hi-Lift jack

  • Altering tire pressure for more traction or more ground clearance

Advanced ROCK CRAWLING

This class uses more extreme trails for capable street-legal 4x4s
