Every class we offer (except the Wrangler Oreintation class) is now a CUSTOM One-on-one class by popular demand! We provide an experienced instructor who will guide you and ride with for the duration of the class. But before you begin, we will discuss your experience level and your personal goals. Then we head out to the trails and roads so you can learn about the capabilities of you vehicle as you develop your skills and confidence. We also provide a fully equipped Jeep Rubicon support vehicle so there is no chance of getting stuck or stranded.

We off er custom TOURS on most days by prior reservation.

On any type of trail Easy Green and Difficult Blue or Black Diamond

Your 4x4 (and bring along some other vehicles to split the cost!), our skilled TOUR GUIDES and a fully equipped Jeep Rubicon support vehicle!

Easy           and Difficult Trails

Half  day (4 hrs) $199.00, full day (8 hrs) $399.00

Or Most Difficult (black Diamond) Trails

Half  day (4 hrs) $259.00, full day (8 hrs) $499.00

WHAT'S INCLUDED :

• An experienced guide with knowledge of the Big Bear History, flora, fauna, geology and trails. length is 4 or 8 hours

• Bring up to 9 other vehicles for a group experience. No additional; charge for groups.

• Lodging discounts if you would like to stay in Big Bear fbefore or after the tour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

• A 4x4 vehicle, street legal, with a 2-speed transfer case and off road tires – All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires in good condition

• Stock Jeeps, pickups and SUVs are  OK but NOT recommended on Black Diamond trails. Stock 4x4 can be damaged easily on Black Diamond trails. The exception is a Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon. They  have lockers and skid plates to minimize the chance of damage. For other vehicles, we have minimum requirement of one locker, underside protection of critical components (fuel tank, transfer case, etc), tow points (not hooks) and 33” all or mud terrain tires for black diamond trails.

• Absolutely no lowered vehicles or low profile tires

• A tow strap with sewn loop ends (no metal hooks) and/or a kinetic “yanker” recovery strap

• A CB radio is recommended

• First aid kit

• Recommended equipment includes a Hi-Lift jack, winch and winching kit

• Water, lunch and snacks for you and any other occupants of your vehicle. Bring enough water for the day, at least ½ gallon per person.

• Warm clothing for layering. It gets down to the 40 degree range at night the in summer. Heavy clothing for late fall, winter and early spring. It can get down to zero and snow is always possible.

• High top shoes, like hiking boots, are best. Sandals are not a good idea. Lugged soles provide good traction on slopes and rocks.

• Gloves for cold and for work.

• A hat and sun block

• Any medications you take
